What is Kung Fu?

Our goal is to introduce boys and girls to the world of martial arts and yoga while educating them about day-to-day dangers in a fun and safe environment.

The U. S. Department of Justice reported that in the year 2002, 58,200 were victims of an abductions by non-family members.

Simply having a casual conversation about “stranger danger” or “don’t talk to strangers” from time to time is not  enough to arm our children against these predators.  Physical confrontation is always a last resort for a child or any good martial arts practitioner, for that matter.

The use of smart decision and good thinking is always the best way out of a dangerous situation.  The brain is always the first tool to be used in a dangerous situation.

Whether that situation is from a stranger or from the “bully” on the play ground.  Good self defense techniques are a secret weapon and not a toy to be played with.  The techniques I teach are not for sport, it is a self defense.  At this age only the basics will be taught and the concepts when and where to use them, are the primary focus.
